Rought Draft

What are the strengths of this essay? I think the in-depth analysis.

What do you think still needs work? I dont have all the citations right, and the whole APA style thing down, and the conclusion is sorta weak.

How do you want your group members to help you? How do I do APA??? And how should I make the conclusion better?

What areas of the essay are you feeling uncertain about? The citations mostly.

What do you think that you still need to do before this essay is ready to be submitted to the professor for evaluation? Fix the citations, do some editing, and make sure it all connects.

Any other specific questions you have for your group. Am I even close when it comes to the citations??

Anaylsis Paper

Are there sections that you feel are particularly strong or particularly weak? I dont think they are as balanced as they should be.

Do your quotations support the unit of analysis under which they are listed? I think the qoutes are good, although there could maybe do more.

Are your examples illustrative? I do think that the examples are illustrative.

Do you need to include more description? I will have to definitely do some editing.

Is there something that you would like your reviewers to pay special attention to? Are the roles clear? How would I define a role? I dont think I did the feminist perspective correctly yet, but once i fix that I will fix this. I will need to add some things and twist some things around in this. So what would you help me twist around on this?

How do you think this paper turned out? For a rough draft I like it. I like all the examples I used and how i analyzed it. I think I just need to apply the criticism more.

Critical Perspective Paper

1. How do you feel this paper turned out? It's okay. I think it will make more sense once it fits with the real paper. It could be better, but I think it will be once I have everything together in a better perspective (no pun intended).

2. How will the critical perspectives you selected allow you to talk about your artifact? the critical perspective I chose was the feminist perspective, although I am going to tweek the method a little. This perspective will allow me to look at how gender and gender roles are constructed through Desperate Housewives. I think this method is best.

3. How were the articles you read using this perspective or one similar to it helpful to you? The articles I read that were similar to this perspective were helpful to me, because they showed me different ways of looking at gender roles, which is what I will be discussing in my paper.

4. Do you feel like there is something that you should have included or described in more detail? There is always something that should also be included, you can never get everything. I think I could maybe have included more sources as examples, but I am not really sure how it would have played out in my final paper, so I wasn't sure on what the purpose of that was. These were the best sources I could find, and I think its better to have good ones, as opposed to just a lot of them.

5. What are the three biggest strengths of this essay? I have a clear outline of what I will be looking at and how I will be looking at them.

6. What do you think are two of its weaknesses? There could be more resources guiding this.

7. What would you like your reviewers to focus on? Does this make sense? Should I add different perspectives to this?

Context Paper.

1. How do you feel this paper turned out?

I didn't really like how I did on this paper. I think there is more out there, but I had little direction on social conditions surrounding this, because I think my artifact touches so many social conditions that it is hard to focus on any (or several) specific issues because it barely touches the surface.

2. Did you accomplish what you set out to do in the description of the context?

I thought I could do more, but with my research I could not find much more.

3. Do you feel like there is something that you should have included or described in more detail?

I feel I needed to address the social conditions better, but I just couldn't find anything on it.

4. What are the three biggest strengths of this essay? 1) I have a lot of reviews 2) I have a lot of sources that vary in opinions 3) I like that I have the reason of the creation from the creator.

5. What do you think are two of its weaknesses? 1) not enough information, 2) lack of specific perspective, 3) probably bad grammar.

6. What would you like your reviewers to focus on?

How I should go about addressing the social conditions.

Artifact Paper

1) How do you feel this paper turned out?
I liked it actually. I thought it turned out better than I was expecting it to be.

2) Did you accomplish what you set out to do in the description?
I did accomplish what I set to do in the description. My goal was to complete it and have someone understand the premise of the show. I had my boyfriend read it, and he said he understood the premise of the show from it, which to me means that I must have at least described it decently.

3) Do you feel like there is something that you should have described in more detail?
I think the themes could be worked out better. I was a little confused on this part on what an actual theme actually was.

4) What are the three biggest strengths of this essay?
1) The character descriptions in general
2) The amount of themes I came up with
3) The variety of themes I came up with

5) What do you think are two of its weaknesses?
1) The fact that all the themes do not involve all the characters
2) That my themes go from a normal theme to a "versus" theme, which some can see as confusing.

6) What would you like your reviewers to focus on?
Probably if they understand the premise of the show from the paper. How could I describe it better? What would you like to know more about it, that might help you make more sense of the show??
